On August 14, 1932, Virginia Miriam Beck was born in Montrose, California. John Charles Beck and Freda Yugend were her parents. Her nationality was American.

Virginia Bell’s Career

Virginia was a burlesque dancer who rose to the top of the burlesque scene in 1954, earning up to $1500 per week. She was well-known for her cowboy striptease act. Bell was featured in various 8mm loop videos, numerous men’s publications such as Night and Day and, Fling, and exotic dance.

Bell also appeared in the film Bell, Bare and Beautiful (1963). Eli Jackson, the proprietor of a burlesque theater, had approached exploitation directors Herschell Gordon Lewis and David Friedman about shooting a film about his wife.

Lewis remembers Bell being pregnant, saying, “I guess it was her first pregnancy because no one was sure she’d come out of it and still be able to perform in burlesque.” These men wanted to shoot her once she lost her physique.

Virginia would return in Lullaby of Bareland (1964) in the form of three shorter portions patched together to fill out the runtime. Virginia provides a lengthy striptease routine.

Virginia participated in numerous nudie loops, which can be found in the video series “Reel Classics,” as well as the “Big Bust Loops” and “Super B*obs” series from Something Weird Video.

Bell had three children with her Husband Jackson in the early 1960s: Pierre Joseph Jackson (born 1961), Tyrone Eli Jackson (born 1962), and Todd George Jackson (born 1964). After her divorce from Eli, she married Alexander White until he died in 2004.

One of Bell’s final roles was Julia in Fraulein Doktor, a 1969 Dino de Laurentiis World War I espionage drama that Variety described as a fascinating picture subject but “emerges only as another sloppily-made Italian import.” Bell officially retired in 1970.
