Her Rosato and Dinunzio Novel Series books have become highly successful, and they’d been on the bestseller list of the New York Times for weeks. Her career is still going strong, and her popularity is growing.

Education, School & College

Lisa Scottoline earned her magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in three years, in 1976.

Her B.A. degree was in English with a focus on the Contemporary American Novel, and she had instructors like National Book Award winner Philip Roth as her professors.

After graduating with honors, Lisa subsequently went to the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she worked as an Associate Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

As a Lawyer

Lisa started her legal profession as a law clerk for Pennsylvania Superior Court President Judge Edmund B. Spaeth, Jr. She became an associate at Dechert, Price & Rhoads in Philadelphia after her clerkship concluded.

With the release of her debut novel in 1994, Scottoline re-entered the legal field as an administrative law clerk to Chief Judge Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit while also establishing a new profession as a fiction author.
