Career
Nancy Bush, Lisa’s sister, encouraged her to start writing. Nancy was confident they could work together and thrive, motivated by the successes of authors she respected and the booming market for romantic literature at the time. They sat down, intent on writing and being released.
Initially, both sisters collaborated on writing. Afterward, they went in various paths, and Lisa began creating considerably darker novels and adding more suspense to her work.
Nancy’s writing career grew to encompass not only her books but also many years as a writer for one of television’s most popular soap operas, even relocating from her sister’s Pacific Northwest roots to Manhattan for a while.
For the first time in years, they collaborated on “Wicked Game“ in February 2009, which garnered a stellar endorsement from Publishers Weekly and became a New York Times bestseller.
Her books, all about murder, are currently on the national bestseller lists of The New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly.
As everyone who knows her will attest, she is a mother, a daughter, a workaholic, and an excellent writer who likes making the hair on the back of her readers’ necks rise.
