In 2018 at the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, India won, Yashasvi was the highest run-scorer (he scored 318). In a Youth Test match, he made 173 off 220 balls in 2019.

He made his First-Class Debut on 07 Jan 2019 and List A Cricket on 28 September 2019. Both of his debut matches were against Chhattisgarh.
