Charles Woodrow Tolkien, better known as Wilson Wood, was an American actor born on February 11th, 1915 in Huron, North Dakota, the United States.

He was interested in acting and drama since childhood and started acting at the age of three years old. During that time, he attended several dramas and plays at the school level.

He retained his love for acting even while pursuing his bachelor’s. He acted in many plays, hosted in Texas during this period. Soon after gaining some experience in the acting field, he started taking up more difficult and serious cinematic roles.

He used to work in small roles during 1952 in a serial for republic picture, named ‘zombies of stratosphere’ had 12 parts.

His final appearance would be in the 1962 film, Jumbo, starring Doris Day, Stephen Boyd, and Jimmy Durante, in which Wood had a featured role.

He was well known for his sharp looks, blue eyes, and blonde hair, which was in vogue during the period. The actor appeared in over 100 movies by famous director Alfred Hitchcock. He passed away in Culver City, California, USA.

Although Woods worked on a few projects after his time in MIB, he officially retired from acting in 1999.

But that doesn’t mean he stepped away from Hollywood completely; according to IMDB, he returned as an assistant director for 2002’s Monarch of The Moon and has a handful of production credits since then.

He also hosts A Voyage with Wilson Wood, a weekly radio show on KWMR based in Point Reyes Station, California. Since 2005, when KWMR went online-only, Woods has hosted podcasts centered around music and spirituality.
