William McComas Byron Jr. is known as William Byron. He was born on the 29th of November of 1997. His birthplace is Charlotte of, North Carolina, United States of America.
Byron started loving racing competitions and racing cars from his early childhood days. Byron began this driving career in his teenage days.
Family
William Byron was born to his parents, Bill Byron and Dana Byron. He is the only child of his parents. His mother, Dana Byron, is suffering from a MALT lymphoma tumor in the left side of her brain.
Education
William started his early schooling in Charlotte country day school. Later, he started online classes at Liberty University. He was studying a Major in Business Communication. He graduated in the year 2016.
Career
William started his racing career when he was just 15 years old. His first race was in a legend competition. He won nearly 33 other races when he started his career. That year, Byron gained the title “Legend Car Young Lion’s Division Champion” for his car racing excellence.
He also took part while he was in university. He steered the No. 9 series of Chevrolet in Liberty University at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway. He finished this race in 11th position along with a single win.
Later, Byron participated in the K&N Pro Series East of 2015. In this racing, he achieved four wins for Scott Motorsports.
William Byron also took part in Kansas NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2016. He secured the winning position in this series. He broke the rookie record in this series.
After this excellent skill and talent, Willing has signed a multi-year driver agreement with Hendrick Motorsports. He steered the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro SS for JR Motorsports in 2017.
In the year 2017, William achieved the Xfinity series Championship by NASCAR. In 2018, he was crowned as the MENCS Sunoco Rookie of the year. Byron began his 2019 season strongly as he won the Daytona 500 pole.
Byron also wins Duel 2 of the 2020 Blue-green vacation duels. It was his first achievement in the cup series. Again he started his 2021 season by qualifying second at the 2021 Daytona 500.
Byron went back to the Truck Series in June 2021, driving the No. 27 for Rackley WAR at Nashville Superspeedway.
