Taysom Hill took birth on the 23rd of August, 1990. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho. He also spent his childhood days in this place.


Taysom Hill’s father is Doug Hill, and his mother is Natalie Hill. Taysom has three siblings. He is the youngest son of Hill’s family.

Taysom Hill acknowledges that his name was kept after Taysom Construction Company. This company was situated in Pocatello, Idaho, Hill’s hometown.

Taysom Hill’s brother-in-law is David Nixon, a former BYU and NFL linebacker.


Taysom Hill started his early School days in Highland High School. And he finished his schooling in 2009. In his school life, Taysom threw for 2,269 yards.

He won the All-Idaho Player of the Year, Idaho Gatorade High School Player of the Year, and for his excellency in that field. Along with football, Taysom Hill won excellence awards in basketball and track.

Later Taysom Hill went to Brigham Young University in the year 2012, which was a private college owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He concluded his study in 2026.


After his school life, Taysom Hill was offered several programs in various universities like the University of Arizona, Boise State University, Stanford University, Oregon State University, etc. 

Taysom showed his excellence in BYU’s pro day, beating Texas A&M’s Trevor Knight. He started as undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft.

After this, he became a free agent of the Green Bay Packers on May 5, 2017. In the final roster, Taysom was cut down on September 2, 2017.

The next day, on September 3, 2017, Taysom was waived by the New Orleans Saints. He was shown in twelve special teams plays, and all of the games were against the Carolina Panthers. 

In 2018, Taysom was listed as the third-string quarterback. But Taysom showed his versatility in the game against the Atlanta Falcons. He returned three kicks for 64 yards. He was quite a tight end for blocking defenders.

Against the team Washington Redskins, Taysom rushed five times for 24 yards. During play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Taysom blocked a punt from Bryan Anger. He was selected as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

When they were playing against the Philadelphia Eagles, Taysom became a utility player. In 2019, Taysom played against the Houston Texans, where he rushed for eight yards and caught a nine-yard touchdown.

Taysom rushed twice for 21 yards against the Chicago Bears in the same season. He also caught a screen pass for a four-yard touchdown.

Taysom played against the Atlanta Falcons on Thanksgiving, where he blocked a punt and rushed for a 30-yard touchdown. 

Taysom Hill rushed for 42 yards against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.

On November 20, 2020, Taysom Hill announced that he would start playing at quarterback for the Saints against the Atlanta Falcons. He started with this place because of Drew Brees’ injury.

Taysom Hill completed 18 for 233 yards. In 2021, dated March 14, he signed a 4-year extension with the Saints worth $140 million.

In the 2021 season, Taysom Hill became the third-string quarterback, where he followed Jameis Winston and Trevor Siemian.
