From her childhood days, she wanted to become an actress & in her early childhood, she read the Harry Potter series and became a fan of that series.
When she was 11 years old, she developed an eating disorder & during that period, she was hospitalized several times for anorexia & she stated that during her illness, the Harry Potter series was the only thing she watched.

Evanna Lynch started her career at a young age, and her dream came true to become an actor when she auditioned at the casting hall in London for the role of Luna Lovegood in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”; it was the 5th film in the series adapted from the books.
However, Lynch was not acted professionally before the Harry Potter series, and her experience is only limited to school plays.
It was her debut screen performance & the film became a box office hit, and critics provided good reviews about her role.
After some time, her performance earned her Scream Award and Young Artists Award Nominations.
Later she appeared in the role for the final time in Harry Potter and the “Deathly Hallows- Part 2″.
Lynch went on to guest star as Princess Alina in the first season finale of the Sky1 television series “Sinbad“. She was cast in the 2013 indie crime drama film Monster Butler, based on the life of British serial killer and thief Archibald Hall.
