Early Life
Colette Nelson was born in 1974 in Southfield, but she did not grow up in Royal Oak. From her childhood, she had diabetes. And her doctor told her that she had to take insulin and do lots of exercises to keep her blood pressure under control.
She completed her education at the Clarence M Kimball High School, and in high school, she became obsessed with exercise, teaching up to 20 aerobics classes a week. After completing her schooling, she attended Michigan State University, and from there, she completed her bachelor’s degree in dietetics and a minor in dance.
After completing her graduation, she went to New York University, where she completed her master’s degree in nutrition, and later she became a dietician and a diabetes educator.
Career
When she was in college and just 19 years old, she started to develop her interest in weightlifting. Later she joins the gym, and she is the only woman practicing in that particular gym. She states that aerobics helps her too much; before coming into weight lifting, she taught up to 20 aerobics classes in a week.
After that, she started her training, and after practicing for 6 years, she began to compete in the competition. After some time, she won the middleweight in her first competition.
The year 2000 has become a fairy tale for her, and in that year, she won the heavyweight class championship and Northeastern championship. A few years later, in 2001 and 2002, she held the first position in the heavyweight class at the USA championship.
In 2004 she won the heavyweight class championship at the Team Universe, and in that particular calendar, she also won the IFBB pro card at the North American Championship.
During her long career, she has gained numerous achievements, and after competing in the 2010 IFBB Phoenix pro, she retired from bodybuilding.
From 1999 to 2010, she participated in various competitions, and she won 21 big contests; in most of these contests, she beat her competitors quite comfortably.

She has been in a relationship with the CEO and founder of RXMuscle Dave Palumbo and IFBB pro and karate master Bryan Paz for three years.
